I set out to create a 'glowing' luminous-type pixmap based theme. I like the effect
and it's a surprisingly usable theme, even though I appreciate that it may
seem a bit too intense for some people at first.
Available in several flavours:
Blue
Green
Grey
Purple
Red
Firefox fix included for dark themes such as this one.
Install manually, not through the theme manager.
NOTE: its a pixmap based theme, so it requires the gtk2-engines-pixbuf package to be installed for the theme to work. On ubuntu(the distro that i use), its not included so needs to be downloaded.
Wallpaper used is the excellent 'Everything reminds me of her' by *vhm-alex [link] . I've made it transparent so the colour becomes that of the background colour.
Yes . It started out from one of my wood themes that i was in the middle of, and it occurred to me that i hadn't seen any luminescent type themes at all using transparency. So i put the wood themes on hold briefly and created the buttons, sliders, menubar, background, etc for this. It took several weeks in all of tweaking to get everything right.
